Broken bolt extractor set.

I would get a really nice torque wrench.

Edit: Should have known better that a Snap-On torque wrench would cost MORE than $200.

That was my first thought but they are $300+ and the cap is $200.

Yes! but not many snap-on torque wrenches at that pricepoint.

I just checked, too. It isn’t happening at $200.00, chief.

After looking at their website. I’d sell it to someone else for $190. Unless your a professional mechanic there’s never a reason to spend $180 on 3 pliers.

This. I’m tired of taking my car to Firestone to get snapped bolts torched and removed

Bad/cheap ones will make the situation far worse.

I genuinely wonder how much more expensive surgical tools are.

I think I might buy a fancy digital torque wrench but I imagine those would be like the price of a new hatchback.

Hot take, I like a lot of the German brands more than snap-on for quality and price. But snap-on ratchets are the best.

couple of nice ratchets...I was able to score 1/4 in drive size and one small 3/8 for $190

They used a torch to remove a stud and drill out another one so I could remove my old rusty catback. Didn’t charge anything, super cool about it

Someone sent me a picture of an $8000 torque wrench a few years ago. For that price I’ll just keep replacing my bargain bin one’s every year or so

That would have been handy today. And hey, no judgements here. A lot of my preferred tool brands are Japanese!

yeah that might be the way to go. I cant figure anything i would buy snap on maybe an air impact. the snap on stuff is so over priced even if i was wealthy i would probably buy another brand with more value for the dollar. it just doesnt seem worth it to buy the “best” as a home mechanic.

That’ll get you a couple sockets or a screw driver right?

As long as you don’t spring for the warranty, protection plan, shipping, socket size etching, screw driver handle, snap-on logo or anything else fancy like that.

Wow-what are you-a mind reader? I first bought one of these 30 years ago -before they even exsisted. (You had to get your snap on dealer to put 3/8" guts in a 1/4" drive rachet.) They were like $25 at the time- $75 last I looked. $99 now? Holy shit! Everywhere I’ve worked that provided tools I’ve made buy one.

I think it would be worth it. Plus the warranty I think would be pretty good.

Snap on really need to get their shit together with the website. It is slow and impossible to find exactly what you are looking for. I honestly expect better when paying those prices. Also their shipping is a fucking joke. It took them two business days to get my screwdrivers out the door. How is that even possible?!? Go get the product, throw it in a box and hand it to the fedex guy! I am seriously considering jumping ship.

Can’t speak for the rest, but yeah the website is atrocious. I’ve seen better from literally every single competitor. I guess they’re really just pushing the tool truck sales?

Kinja'd!!! NYankee1927 > AestheticsInMotion

Yea but there are the rest of us who will buy the tools, but our work wouldn’t really support a truck so we are left hanging.
